Jackfish Sign Bissonnette for three game weekend

WELLAND - The Welland Jackfish, Niagara's sports entertainment destination, is excited to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher and designated hitter, Paul "Biz Nasty" Bissonnette to a 3-day contract for the 2024 season.

Joining the Fish for a ceremonial first pitch at the end of the 2023 season, Biz caught the eye of Jackfish brass as he displayed great energy and passion for Welland

The 1985 former ECHL hockey player will join the Fish on a celebrity contract for the June 13-16 weekend.

“Despite having no prior baseball, Bissonette will be the asset to bring us to another championship and really give the guys a spark midway through the season,” Jackfish President and Director of Fun, Ryan Harrison probably said…

“Bringing him may seem crazy, but we have faith that the team needs Bissonnette. Just take a look at his NHL stats…they are… great. I just know he can translate that onto the field,” Harrison continued.

The Welland Jackfish are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League.
