Big Ben is BACK!

Sound the gong, the big man is back!

WELLAND - The Welland Jackfish, Niagara's Greatest Show, is excited to announce the re-signing of right-handed pitcher, Big Ben Abram!

Abram, 25, returns to The Pond for his fourth season with the Fish following another stand out season. In 2025, Ben recorded a 3.02 ERA with a 7-2 record, 58 strikeouts and 9 walks.

Abram joined the Jackfish following five years in Oklahoma, split between the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. In five seasons in the Big 12 Conference, Abram recorded a career 5.69 ERA with a 17-8 record while striking out 189 and walking 60.

Before heading to the Big 12, Ben was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 37th round of the 2018 MLB June Amateur Draft from Georgetown District High School.
