BP Sports Park Named Official Indoor Facility of the Jackfish

WELLAND – The Welland Jackfish, proud members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) announced today that they have entered into a partnership to make BP Sports Park the official indoor training facility for the Welland Jackfish.

BP Sports Park is a 55,000 square foot indoor baseball training facility on the grounds of the Niagara Regional Exhibition. Owned and operated by former Welland Pirate and Chicago Cub Scott Bullett, the facility has been home to the Bullettproof Prospects of the Fergie Jenkins Showcase League since 1995.

“Bullettproof is proud to partner with the Jackfish and help them train before and during their season” said BP Sports Park Owner Scott Bullett. “We look forward to working together to develop baseball in the Niagara Region for the 2021 season and beyond.”

The new partnership will allow Jackfish players access to the facility for training and off-day workouts along with other opportunities during the winter months including youth camps, season ticket member events and more.

“The Jackfish are very happy to partner with Scott and the BP Sports Park,” said Jackfish President Ryan Harrison. “Our organization is on a mission to unite all minor baseball in the region and with our current partnership with minor baseball in Welland and now BP Sports Park will begin that process.”

The Welland Jackfish are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
