Fun Always Tour Preview: What’s New and What’s Back at The Pond
Finally, the fish are BACK and with a full and even expanded 21-game season on the schedule, the Jackfish can’t wait to welcome the ‘Fish Heads’ back home in 2022.
With Opening Day on Thursday, May 19 against the Brantford Red Sox (7:30 p.m.) just a week away, the Jackfish announced ‘What’s New’ AND ‘What’s Back’ at The Pond this season for fans to enjoy. New promotional events added to a lineup of fan favourites, an enhanced concessions menu of local selections, a new look for the team on the field and more are just part of what’s new and what’s returning to the newly titled “Fun Always Tour” at The Pond in 2022.
“We have missed our family at the Stadium and we are so excited to welcome every back to Welland Stadium. As we approach the 2022 season, it feels great to be able to get back to what we do best, providing our amazing fans the absolute best sports entertainment experience in Niagara and value at every game,” said Ryan Harrison, Jackfish President and Director of Fun.

Perfect Night For Baseball
WHAT’S BACK: The best night of the week returns to the ballpark as the Jackfish will host 11 Newark Brewery Thirsty Thursday games in 2022, starting with the first on Opening Night, Thursday, May 19 against the Brantford Red Sox. Fans can enjoy a 437ml tallboy of Pond Water Lager for only $4 from gates open (6:00 p.m.) until the end of the third inning.
WHAT’S NEW: Saturdays at the ballpark will see a new spark with Live Music Saturdays and expanded firework nights. Enjoy live music from gates open until first pitch on the concourse every Saturday. Love you some fireworks? Good, the Jackfish will host four firework shows on June 4th, June 25th, July 30th and August 20th.

WHAT’S BACK: Fan favourite themes return in 2022 including our Father's Day Game (June 19), Bark in the Park (July 2), Country Night (July 7), and Tropical Night (July 30).
WHAT’S NEW: Specialty game themes will also be in focus throughout the course of the season. Kicking off 2022 the Jackfish will return to the field as we will pay tribute to the hardest rocking movie of all time, as Wayne's World Night comes to The Pond (June 9). Ladies Night will make its triumphant return to The Pond with a pre-game event for the ladies and a wine cup giveaway (June 11). New for 2022 is the Newark Brew Bash (August 4) as we celebrate summer with $2 drafts and Beer Koozie Giveaway. Price is Right Night caps off our theme schedule (August 18) as the Jackfish giveaway amazing prizes every half-inning.
The Classics & the Additions to the Ballpark Menu
WHAT’S BACK: Niagara’s best foods can be found at the ballpark and the Jackfish continue their commitment to bringing the great tastes of Niagara to Jackfish fans. Tender Cuts Hot Dogs anchor a ballpark menu that also includes fan favourites like Boston Pizza, Tender Cuts Hamburgers, giant soft pretzels and great tasting Pepsi soft drinks and craft beer.
WHAT’S NEW: Our great friends at Tender Cuts have brought another delicious option to the ballpark with their all-new Fried Bologna Sandwich that brings an authentic grilled Smokehouse flavour to fans. The concessions menu will also feature the new Molson Vizzy Hard Seltzer and Mott's Clamato Caesar.

WHAT’S NEW: The Jackfish will unveil a new navy home jersey on opening night. All we can say is V-necks are very in right now.
