Jackfish Announce 2022 Schedule

WELLAND - The Welland Jackfish are excited to announce the release of the entire 2022 Intercounty Baseball League schedule and subsequent home games.

The Jackfish will begin by celebrating Opening Day at home on Thursday, May 19 as they take on the Brantford Red Sox. The fish would then complete the weekend at home on Saturday against the London Majors.

“Coming off an amazing 2021 campaign the Fish are excited and ready to really put on a show for all our fans in 2022,” said Jackfish President Ryan Harrison. “If you thought our show in 2021 was amazing, you haven’t seen anything yet, we have only scratched the surface!”

The regular-season schedule is a total of 42 games with 21 of those coming at Welland Stadium. The Jackfish will open at home but close the regular season on the road as the regular-season finale is scheduled for Sunday, August 21st against the Hamilton Cardinals.

The 2021 campaign will feature home games at Welland Stadium on 11 Thursdays, 9 Saturdays and 1 Sunday throughout the summer.
