Jackfish Announce Live-Video Streaming of All Home Games

WELLAND - Jackfish fans will have the chance to follow the team's home games in a new way this year which will allow them to see more of the action. The club has announced that they will be launching live-video streaming of all games at Welland Stadium for the 2019 season.

"We are thrilled to bring the production of a video broadcast to Welland fans this season," said Jackfish President Ryan Harrison. "The tremendous crowds and electric atmosphere that we expect at Welland Stadium will now be brought directly to fans across the country and the world."

The Jackfish video broadcast will be a single-camera operation in 2019, traditional to what is seen with many sports across the country. Development is already in place to allow for a multi-camera broadcast in the 2020 season.

This platform will also allow the Jackfish to extend working relationships with local high schools and colleges, as this new initiative creates internship positions for developing multi-media and video production students. This is the aspect that most excites Jackfish president Ryan Harrison.

"Similar to what we have been able to do for players and developing sports marketing professionals, this project will both fill a need for our customer, as well as create development opportunities for young men and women in our community that are interested in sports broadcasting," Harrison said.
