Jackfish Announce Major Partnership with Newark Brewing Company

WELLAND - The Welland Jackfish are proud to announce a partnership with Niagara-based Newark Brewing Company. The major partnership will not only bring Newark Brewing Company products to Welland Stadium, but will also see a rebranding of the right-field berm to the "Newark Brewing Craft Beer Zone."

"This major partnership between Newark Brewing Company and the Jackfish demonstrates our ownership's commitment to bringing some of the best local products to Welland Stadium," says Welland Jackfish President Ryan Harrison. "We are excited about giving our fans the ability to have a wonderful product while enjoying the best entertainment in town."

Also, part of the partnership is the creation of a special beer for the Jackfish. The name of the beer will be up to fans to decide, as the Jackfish launch a Name the Beer Contest. From January 28^th to February 5^th, fans can enter the contest to name the beer and a chance to win a Jackfish Season Membership and gift card to Newark Brewing Company.

The soon to be named Jackfish beer, will be a German-inspired gold lager.  A clean, refreshing lager perfect for the warm weather, without sacrificing flavour.

Newark Brewing Company was established in late 2018, with their first batch being in March of 2019. Based out of Beamsville, Ontario, Newark is a virtual brewery with big plans to open its own space in the near future. Their focus when it comes to brewing is traditional European styles focusing on German and Belgian. You can currently find Newark’s Dunkel Lager at your local LCBO location.

The Welland Jackfish are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
