Jackfish back on track with win in the Royal City

GUELPH - Down but not out, the story of the Fish in Guelph today as the struggling Jackfish walked back into the win column in a 9-6 win over the Guelph Royals today at David E. Hastings Stadium.
"Underhill shut it down and gave us the chance to come back," said Field Manager, Brian Essery. "It was a good comeback win, a good team win"
The Royals got RBI singles from McCoy Pearce, Luis Jean, and an RBI double from Matteo Porcellato to lead the big inning.
Pearce had a huge night at the plate with five hits and three RBI, while Porcellato had two hits and three RBI.
The Royals had 10 hits, with every batter in their lineup getting a hit.
Brandon Underhill got the win on the mound striking out four in three innings of work. Yomar Concepcion took the loss despite having seven strikeouts in seven innings of work.
The Jackfish return home Thursday for Pack the Park presented by CAA Niagara. First pitch is set for 7:25 pm against the Brantford Red Sox. Saturday the Jackfish are back with First Responders Night!
