Jackfish Dominate the Majors in Game Two
WELLAND - The Welland Jackfish will head to Labatt Park in London for game three on Friday night up two games to nothing in their best of seven quarterfinal series against the London Majors.
Thursday night saw eight of the nine starting Jackfish batters record at least one hit and one run. DeAndre-Asbury Heath went three for four, scored two runs and was walked once, Mattingly Romanin batted three for five and drove in two runs. Romanin also scored off of a Majors error that allowed him to score all the way from first base.
Matt Clingersmith picked up the victory for the Jackfish on the mound after throwing eight complete innings and only gave up three earned runs.
Owen Boon for the Majors was docked with the loss.
