Jackfish Go Faux With New “Old” Identity
Niagara's Greatest Show, the Welland Jackfish today are excited to introduce a nostalgic fauxback alternate identity. It’s a blast from the pseudo-past that will make Thursday games at Welland Stadium a journey back to a golden era of baseball and fun.
The new identity, which imagines how the Jackfish might have looked if the team had been founded earlier than 2019, takes inspiration from iconic uniforms and logos from the 1930s through the 1960s. The players will don specially designed uniforms and caps, featuring a fish logo that pays homage to classic animation and the Jackfish brand of family fun.
Thursday games at Welland Jackfish in 2025 will be promoted as Fauxback Fun Days. Fans will be transported back in time with vintage organ ballpark music, old-time scoreboard graphics, and in-game entertainment to deliver the ambiance of classic ballgames from yesteryear.
The Jackfish fauxback marks were designed by Ryan Foose of Fooser Sports Design. Fooser is the studio of Ryan Foose and primarily focuses on sports branding and design. With clients that include ESPN, Minor League Baseball, NCAA, Fanatics, Hat Club and hundreds of schools, teams, and organizations world-wide.
