Jackfish Highlight Community Contributions in 2026

Welland, ON – The Welland Jackfish are proud to announce that, thanks to the incredible support of our fans and community, the Jackfish helped raise or donated $112,232.00 this past season. The highlight of the 2026 season included raising $73,562 for CrimerStoppers of Niagara through home game 50/50 raffles. Every ticket purchased helped make a difference, fueling the impact of the Jackfish as they continue to support local initiatives and give back to the community that makes the Niagara Region so special.

The Jackfish also drew over 75,000 fans to Welland Stadium during the 2026 season, generating a significant economic boost for the Niagara Region, contributing over $2.5 million in economic impact.

“Over the past seven seasons, the Jackfish have proudly raised or donated more than $500,000 to organizations throughout the Niagara Region,” shares Jackfish President Ryan Harrison. “That impact is a testament to what can happen when a baseball team, its fans, partners, and community come together for something bigger than the game. Every dollar raised represents an investment in the people and organizations that make Niagara such a special place to call home. We are incredibly proud of what our FINatics and partners have helped us accomplish, and we remain committed to using the Jackfish platform to create meaningful, lasting impact across our community for years to come.”

The Fish had a record year giving back to the community, raising over $112,000 to local charities, including:

  • $73,562 raised for Crimestoppers of Niagara through the 2026 season 50/50 draws
  • $4,280 raised for Ronald McDonald House Charity through the Strikeout for Families Campaign
  • $5,000 donated to youth baseball organizations
  • $13,260 raised for Youth Baseball teams through our The Challenge campaign
  • 1095 Tickets Donated to Local Charities and Non-For-Profits

The Welland Jackfish are a member of Canada’s best league, the Canadian Baseball League.
