Jackfish Mascot Naming Contest

WELLAND - The Welland Jackfish Baseball Club has announced a name the mascot contest for their inaugural 2019 season. Fans will have the opportunity to be a part of history by coming up with the mascot's official name.

The mascot design will be a northern pike wearing a Jackfish uniform. Fans will need to send in suggestions to the Jackfish staff using the online form. Each inquiry should include a potential name for the mascot and a reason why this name would be a perfect fit.

The individual who comes up with the best name will win four tickets to the Welland Jackfish Home Opener, a Jackfish T-Shirt, Concession Vouchers and have the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Entries will be accepted until Sunday, January 27th at 12:00 P.M.

The Welland Jackfish are a member of Ontario's most elite baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League.
