Giveaways, Specials, Theme Nights, Movie Nights, and Antics Highlight the 2023 Slate

WELLAND - 2023 is the year of the Jackfish during the teams coming out season and a full slate of exciting promotions. Today the team provided a glimpse of the upcoming year headlined by fireworks shows, giveaways, theme nights, and plenty of on and off-the-field entertainment.

May 18th, 2023 - Home Opener

  • Welcome back your 2023 Welland Jackfish with the greatest kickoff party ever. Get to the park early to receive a GIANT foam finger (first 1,000), presented by 91.7 GIANT FM.

May 20th, 2023 - Bark in the Park

  • Baseball isn’t just for humans, we want to see the fluffy companions out too. Bark in the Park is back, so bring the pups for a night of fun. The first 500 FINatics get a doggy bag so head over early, presented by Niagara Pet Outlet

May 25th, 2023 - Thirsty Thursday

  • Thirsty Thursdays are back! FINatics can enjoy the Jackfish while sipping on $4 Pond Water Lagers from the minute gates open to the end of the 3rd inning presented by Newark Brewing Company

June 3rd, 2023 - Minor Baseball Day

  • The Jackfish want to celebrate the future of baseball. Wear your team's baseball jersey to the game and you’ll receive discounted ticket prices upon entry, first 500 to receive Jackfish Trading Cards. Finish the night with post-game fireworks!

June 10th, 2023 - Senior Appreciation Night

  • The Jackfish first-ever Senior Appreciation Night will be filled with excitement for all ages. From Niagara’s largest Bingo game to an early bird special, we want to give some love to our…slightly older FINatics. Seniors aged 65+ will receive discounted ticket prices. 

June 15th, 2023 - Welland Roses/Thirsty Thursday

  • The Jackfish turn into the fan favourite Welland Roses for the first of two nights of the 2023 season. Along with the Roses, Thirsty Thursday is in full effect with $4 Pond Waters from the time gates open to the end of the 3rd inning presented by Newark Brewing Company

June 18th, 2023 - Father's Day Game

  • It’s Dad’s Day down at the Pond. Everyone is welcome to stay for a game of catch after the game down on the field. Beer Koozie giveaway to the first 500 dads!

June 22nd, 2023 - Double First-Name Night/Thirsty Thursday

  • Jack Ryan and Suzie Smith come on down! With identification, everyone that was blessed with two first names gets into our Thirsty Thursday for FREE! Along with double first names we are also back with Thirsty Thursdays. $4 Pond Waters from gates open to the end of the 3rd inning presented by Newark Brewing Company.

June 24th, 2023 - Neon Night/Welland Roses

  • A bright night for the Jackfish. We encourage our FINatics to show up to The Pond in their brightest get-ups. Neon Night is paired with our second night celebrating the Welland Roses. 

June 29th, 2023 - Jacques-A-Palooza/Thirsty Thursday

  • In honour of the 20th anniversary of one of the Jackfish favourite movies, Old School, we are hosting the first-ever Jacques-A-Palooza! Jacques’ birthday celebration will include a night of fun and $4 Pond Waters till the end of the 3rd inning presented by Newark Brewing Company

July 1st, 2023 - Canada Day

  • Oh Canada! For the first time ever the Jackfish will be hosting a Canada Day extravaganza, hosted by Crime Stoppers Niagara. Special jerseys, live music, and fireworks close out the night.

July 6th, 2023 - Pack the Park/Thirsty Thursday

  • Pack the Park is back, presented by CAA. Head over to any CAA Niagara location to pick up your tickets for FREE. We want to see ALL our FINatics and more out for this one. So, come out to The Pond for the busiest night of the year. Oh, and for your enjoyment, we have another Thirsty Thursday, with $4 Pond Waters from the minute the gates open until the end of the 3rd inning.

July 8th, 2023 - First Responders Night

  • The Jackfish are back with First Responders Night. A night to celebrate Niagara's finest. Make sure to get to The Pond early for a chance to tour real emergency vehicles during our touch-a-truck event pre-game. We want this event to educate our community on the work these heroes do every day.

July 13th, 2023 - Strikeout Cancer/Thirsty Thursday

  • The Welland Jackfish are hosting their annual Strikeout Cancer night to raise funds for cancer research. 

July 20th, 2023 - Country Night/ Thirsty Thursday

  • Country Night is back! One of our favourite nights of the year, presented by Country 89.1, will be filled with live music, square dancing.

July 22nd, 2023 - Fishfest

  • This summer the Welland Jackfish will be putting on the first-ever Fishfest Beer Festival. Starting at 1:00 we want to invite our FINatics down for food, games, and live music. There will be something for everyone to enjoy. A day of fun with the Jackfish is just the midsummer pick-me-up everyone needs. 

July 29th, 2023 - Tropical Night

  • Aloha, FINatics! Presented by Accenture, we are hosting our annual Tropical Night. We want to take our 9-inning vacation to the next level. We’re turning The Pond into the beach, so come down and kick back for the greatest staycation of the Summer including post-game fireworks!

August 3rd, 2023 - Thirsty Thursday

  • Thirsty Thursdays are back! FINatics can enjoy the Jackfish while sipping on $4 Pond Waters from the minute gates open to the end of the 3rd inning. 

August 10th, 2023 - Rose City Timber Tigers Night

  • Time to #getmunked! The Jackfish unveil our alter ego the Timber Tigers for the first time ever! FINatics can enjoy the Timber Tigers while sipping on $4 Pond Waters from the minute gates open to the end of the 3rd inning.

August 17th, 2023 - Catalina Wine Mixer Night

  • It’s the F***ing Catalina Wine Mixer! A night of sing-a-longs, bunk beds, and karate in the garage. In honor of the 20th anniversary of the best comedy movie of all time! Any Dale and Brennan’s get to attend this event for absolutely FREE, but Derek, sorry you pay double.

August 19th, 2023 - Mystery Ball Night/Fan Appreciation Night

  • For our final home game of the 2023 regular season, we want this night to be all about our FINatics! We will also be hosting our first EVER Mystery Ball Night. Each FINatic will be given the opportunity to purchase a signed baseball from a notable personality with all proceeds to benefit the Jackfish Booster Club! Post-game Fireworks!
