Leyer Suits up for Colombian Professional Baseball League

Welland – The Welland Jackfish, members of the Intercounty Baseball League today announced that right-handed starter Euclides Leyer has signed with the Tigres de Cartagena of the Colombian Professional Baseball League.

The Tigres de Cartagena have been a member of the Colombian league since 1996 and have won the league championship six times. The Colombian Professional Baseball League boasts some of Colombia's top MLB talent. Each team plays a 120-game schedule.

The Welland Jackfish are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
