Where to start? The crowd? A record 2,495 fans were in attendance! The pitching? Another stellar start from Jake Harford. How about the hitting? Every Jackfish player that stepped up to the plate recorded a hit.
20-2 Welland was the final over the Guelph Royals who entered the contest winners in eight of their past 10 games.
"Such an amazing night," said Jackfish Manager Brian Essery. "The boys fed off the crowd tonight.
Great performance by the entire team. Such a fun night and incredible atmosphere at the pond."
Harford gave up four hits, one run, and struck out over seven over six strong innings. Welland would record 23 hits led by Sam Cawker's four hits and four runs.
Mattingly Romanin drove in a Jackfish game-high three RBI on the night as the Jackfish improved to an IBL best (19-6) on the season, and have now won five in a row.
Guelph fell to (15-9).
