Tanguay, Murray return as Broadcast Entertainment Team
WELLAND - The Jackfish are excited to announce the return of Spencer Tanguay and Alec Murray as the voices of the Jackfish.
Spencer, entering his fifth season with the Jackfish, will return as the team's colour broadcast entertainer. Spencer has been behind the mic for everything, including IIHF U18 Women's World Championship to announcing volleyball and basketball games at Niagara College. Currently, Spencer is the Play-by-Play Announcer for the Hamilton Kilty B's of the GOJHL.
"Since day One, I have loved every second of being with a member of the Jackfish," said Spencer. "After winning it all last year I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2024 as this team continues to grow stronger on and off the field."
Alec Murray will also be returning to the broadcast booth for his second season. "I am very excited to return to Welland for my second season, and work for the best team, in front of the best fans in the league," said Alec. "I cannot wait to run it back this upcoming summer!"
Growing up in the small town of Mitchell Ontario, where sports have been his passion since he was little, Alec grew up playing just about every sport he could. Currently the voice of the Fort Erie Meteors, and the Media director of the Port Colborne Sailors of the GOJHL, Alec has also worked with 519 Sport Online.
This offseason will also see new investments in the Jackfish broadcast operations with new camera angles, new live features, and much more.
