Welland Jackfish Announce Summer Events Schedule

WELLAND – The Welland Jackfish, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) are excited to announce their events schedule for the 2020 summer at Welland Stadium.

“We have only been in Welland for one summer, but we already can’t imagine a summer without the Fish” said Jackfish Majority Owner and President Ryan Harrison. “We want Welland Stadium to be the summer home of each and every Welland and Niagara resident and we cannot wait to bring our fans safe and fun events!”

Along with Youth Baseball Camps that will begin on Monday, July 27^th, the Jackfish will also host an array of socially distanced and safe events at the stadium.

2020 Summer at the Stadium Event Schedule*:

Saturday, August 15^th – Yoga at the Pond (REGISTER NOW)

Saturday, August 22^nd – 1^st Annual Welland Stadium Cornhole Tournament (REGISTER NOW)

Saturday, August 29^th – Jackfish Baseball Day and Home Run Derby (REGISTER NOW)

Saturday, September 5^th – Movie at the Pond

These events will commence once Niagara Region enters phase three and will follow all guidelines to give our patrons a safe but also fun environment.

Fans can expect the same level of entertainment that they came to expect during Jackfish home games.

“If we make one fan smile and forget about the world for five-minutes, that would be a win for me” said Harrison.

The Welland Jackfish are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
