Welland Jackfish celebrate the "Rose City" with alternate identity

Welland, ON - The Welland Jackfish announced today what is sure to be a hit with their fans! For one game this season, the Jackfish will have a new alternate identity and new uniforms to pay homage to the Rose City. The abundance of roses grown locally “has earned Welland the appellation of 'Rose City,' a title officially confirmed by resolution of city council on October 18, 1921,” according to the city's municipal handbook, a treasure trove in miniature of all things Welland.

To pay tribute to the great city of Welland, the Jackfish will rebrand on September 2nd to the Welland Roses! The Roses will don a white & navy blue with red bill hat with a custom Roses logo, white with blue piping jerseys with a Roses script font and white pants.

All game-worn jerseys will be auctioned post-game with proceeds going to support the Open Arms Mission.
