Jackfish offer Snoop Dogg Commentator Job
WELLAND – The Welland Jackfish, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) today announced they have officially sent an offer to Snoop Dogg to join the clubs broadcasting team for the 2021 season.
During Snoop Dogg’s call of Saturday night’s Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. boxing match, he caught the attention of the Jackfish front office. Following careful consideration, the Jackfish have extended an offer to Snoop Dogg to join Spencer Tanguay during all 2021 regular season and postseason live streams.
“Mr. Dogg really impressed me on Saturday night,” said Jackfish President Ryan Harrison. “He was simply one of the most entertaining parts of the show and is just the kind of character we want calling our games with Spencer!”
Although Snoop Dogg’s resume lacks long term sports broadcasting experience, the Jackfish feel this position would be a great start towards learning the ropes and kick-starting a successful broadcasting career.
Snoop, no stranger to the Niagara Region, toured a plant greenhouse in 2016 where a brand of his plants was growing. Snoop has also invested in several Canadian plant companies over the last number of years.
Snoop Dogg could not be reached for comment at press time.
