This classroom is nothing like you've ever experienced. Are you ready to take your education to a new level with a hands-on internship with a premier summer baseball club?
Internships run from May through September. Every Summer the interns work directly with the management staff. Interviews will start in November and will continue until all positions are filled.
All Interns must receive college credit for this internship OR this internship must qualify for a graduation requirement. There are educational and work components to this position. Some of the work components may include tasks such as hanging signs, preparing the ballpark prior to the season, deliveries, and other miscellaneous outdoor work.
Besides game-day duties, each intern will be responsible for helping to prepare and maintain the ballpark prior to the start of the season as well as participating in offsite community events.
In addition to your specific area of focus, all interns will have the opportunity to work with the staff to gain experience in the marketing and ticket sales department.

FULL-TIME POSITIONS
MANAGER, TICKETING & MERCHANDISE | In this role, you’ll learn directly from the Jackfish Ticketing and Merchandise Department and will help with each touch point of a buying experience. We believe the buying experience is so much more than a moment of purchase, but rather is an experience beginning before a ticket or merchandise order is confirmed and extending further than getting your fresh Jackfish merch or tickets in hand. Your primary responsibility will be to become an expert in all things Jackfish Merchandise and to make a Fans First Impression on all fans you connect with. During this internship, you will develop, learn, and implement the entire purchasing process and make it your own. Part of your role will be to coordinate thank you calls for purchasers at the time of purchase. |
MANAGER, COMMUNITY AND PEOPLE | You’ll thrive in this role if you love interacting with people, spreading the world of Jackfish baseball to the masses and creating a love for the team in the community! Assist in coordinating all fundraisers on Gamedays for non-profits Assist with player and mascot appearances in community Assist with set up of military nights, and on-field performances from community programs. |
MANAGER, ENTERTAINMENT | Ever want to plan 21 giant parties? Now is your chance! In this role, you will be in charge of all things game-day entertainment! You will Assist/run promotions on the field and carry out as promised to sponsors, create fun experience for contestants during games on-field during Jackfish games, provide energy to the crowd to create excitement and work with on-field partners to coordinate prizes, promotions, and messaging during games. |
GAME DAY POSITIONS
VIDEO EDITOR / PRODUCER & BROADCAST MANAGER | As a Broadcast Production intern, you’ll work directly with our Broadcast Entertainer in ensuring that Jackfish fans outside of the stadium are able to have a Fans First, Fun Always Experience from the comfort of their own home! You’ll be responsible for helping with production behind the scenes by building graphics, writing the broadcast script, setting up equipment, and leading our game day broadcasting crew. We’ll also lean on you and your production skills to time-stamp exciting gameplays and edit video highlights to be shared on social media. |
MANAGER, BOX OFFICE | In this role you will handle incoming ticket calls, provide customer service to current and potential ticket package holders, and maintain ticket window and will-call operations for the duration of the season. Help manage ticket information in the ticketing system, assist with data entry, run ticketing reports, and keep records current and accurate using the CRM Software. Develop new customers and maintain a positive relationship with current ticket holders including answering questions, troubleshooting, taking and following through on orders, delivering tickets, and arranging for invoicing. Promote and sell all types of group and picnic options to organizations, and individuals. |
MANAGER, HOSPITALITY | Coordinate food service efforts for all stadium events. Manage and supervise hospitality areas including group decks, party/picnic areas, patio tables, and suites. Tend to all needs of groups, outings, parties, etc. to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsible for placing food/beverage orders with multiple distributors while maintaining inventory. Assist in the management of all concessions game day staff, all with the Food and Beverage Manager. Responsible for the general appearance and cleanliness of all concessions areas. Oversee the setup, cleanup, and maintenance of hospitality areas for all events held at the stadium.

MANAGER, STADIUM OPERATIONS | Responsible for the general appearance and cleanliness of Welland Stadium. Manage and train Kids Zone game day employees and oversee the setup and operation of Kids Zone. Responsible for opening and preparing the stadium for each Jackfish game. Oversee and perform all aspects of field maintenance including: edging, trimming, weed management, and irrigation for both the playing surface and areas surrounding the ballpark. Maintain playing surface for all games held at Welland Stadium. Preparation of the field on all game days including chalking, painting, and dragging the infield. Schedule, train, and manage bat boys. Oversee setup of batting practice while communicating with coaching staff regarding pre-game activities. Perform other facility and maintenance duties throughout the ballpark as needed.
