PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
As part of the Game Entertainment & Community teams for the Welland Jackfish Baseball Club, you will perform all game operations activities and attend events in the community. The successful candidates’ passion and commitment to our team will contribute to ensuring all of our fans have an exceptional experience at Welland Stadium and in the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Game Entertainment & Community
- Provide entertainment and interact with fans to create a positive atmosphere and affinity for the team
- Embody the spirit and character of the specific mascot personality you are asked to perform as you interact with fans throughout games and events
- Create a fun and energetic environment on game days to enhance the in-game experience for fans
- Assist in production and implementation of in stand activations and on-field promotions
- Represent the Welland Jackfish in a professional manner at all times
- Adhere to all Welland Jackfish service standards and policies
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act Qualifications
- Outgoing personality with a willingness and desire to have fun
- Comfortable with bringing a character to life and making larger than life movements
- Experience with dance, gymnastics, mime, mascot and/or clowning preferred
- Must be motivated and excited about interacting with fans of all ages
- Must be available for all Welland Jackfish home games and most community events
- Athletic and physically fit, able to stand for long periods of time
- Access to a vehicle/other form(s) of transportation
