WELLAND JACKFISH TICKET-RELATED FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
“The news that we will not have an IBL season at Welland Stadium this summer is devastating,” Jackfish Owner and President, Ryan Harrison said. “However, because of the immense value we place on the safety of our fans, players, staff, and partners, we fully support the decision to cancel the season. We are looking forward to the many socially-distanced and safe events that we planned as a contingency to continue to bring Affordable Family Fun to our community while we wait for Jackfish baseball in 2021. Welland has always been resilient in the face of adversity, and we look forward to opening day next May.”
The Welland Jackfish will continue to host safe and socially-distanced events throughout the summer at Welland Stadium while closely following all health and safety guidelines under the supervision and permission of the Ontario government and the City of Welland. Jackfish staff members are available by phone and email to answer any questions or concerns. The ticket office can be reached at email@example.com.
The Jackfish have not ruled out playing baseball this summer and several teams have expressed interest in hosting a summer series once team sports are allowable.
The Welland Jackfish are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
